Developed in Great Britain in 1928 but never entered service there. However, it was exported to other countries. In the mid-1930s, twenty vehicles of this type were sent to the Republic of China in three shipments. These vehicles fought against Japanese troops in all battles for Shanghai in the fall of 1937.
